Well, I guess that kind of day out could be achieved while socially distancing if it's still required/advised at the time. I'm not sure it would be compulsory or appropriate for us all to hug and kiss on what would after all be a sort of first date anyway. 😬
I've lost track, how many people can meet up outdoors at the moment?
Anyway, as, and or when, others might be up for it, I would be.

Six. But the F of D is dangerously close to Wales, where it’s only four. Or is it ten? Or is that only if there’s also a donkey in the party, and at least two are left-handed?

I think perhaps wait until at least September, when things might be clearer? Despite *waves at everything*, I'd still be restricted to weekends of course.

Well, if Espada's in, he's busy on Saturdays, so maybe a Sunday in September?
And, to any forum lurkers who don't normally post, it'd be a pleasure to meet some of you too if it appealed. 😉

Why did he leave us here anyway? Not shouty and arguey enough? I looked in elsewhere recently, couldn't face it.

Don’t know. He dropped me as a ‘friend’ at about the same time, so I suppose I could take it personally. Haven’t, though. Much.

I emailed him a few months ago to sort of "invite" him back. Took him a while to reply, and when he did, he said he didn't want to come back. Which is of course fine. He does seem much "happier" posting and confronting others on C4P. Different folks different strokes eh? This forum was actually his idea, which is kind of ironic I suppose.
I'm happy enough to continue to post and chat on any of them. A lifetime of being in sales, sales management and related fields of endeavour does somewhat thicken your skin to those of a, shall we say, less inclusive demeanour. 😉

............ a donkey in the party, and at least two are left-handed? ....bloody hard to get hold of those left-handed donkeys; even in Wales from whence many strange things and practices emanate.

( hands on hips in vague homage to Leonard Rossiter's "Rigsby" ) 😎 ...only in a similar way to you being limited to 0 mph if you don't pedal. (assistance cuts out at 15.5 mph (25 kmh) but you don't have to stop pedalling - it means I can (subject to terrain, etc.) do roughly the same speed as a similarly geared non-ebike on the flat and downhill, and a reasonable chance of maintaining 15.5 mph up all but the biggest hills (think 20%)).
