Exceptional weather events

It has rained in Manchester almost every day since the weekend. A few hours each day mainly overnight. But the amount of water remaining in a tin bath left outside (don't ask - it's what I was bathed in as a baby) in minimal. Just enough rain to cool things down a bit and freshen up the garden but not enough to get deep into the soil.
