My energy supplier has gone bust

Shall I be the only one in this boozer to experience a bust energy supplier I wonder?
I switched about 2 months ago from Pure Planet to Utility Point. At that time, it wasn't an easy thing to swallow, because the cheapest tarrif I could find put my monthly DD up from £140 to £190. I was a month or two too late to catch prices before they really took off. Now, of course they've taken off even further, and I have been allocated EDF as my new supplier now that Utility Point has gone tits skywards.
EDF have not yet contacted me to give me the bad news about me new rate, but doing a quick uswitch today shows their cheapest rate SHOULD result in a £213 monthly DD on my usage. Harumph, but not as bad as I was expecting.
We'll see what actaully gets offered though.
Not entirely happy, but nothing I can do about it really. Except cut down on energy use at home - so I bought a clothers airer today to try to cut down on dryer use, emptied out a freezer yesterday, installed some LED bulbs in the most frequently used light fittings a few weeks back. Gave the trouble and binlids a lecture about switching lights off, not expecting the heating to be at Kew Gardens levels during the winter, hot water once a day only in the mornings, unless for extenuating circumstances etc. Fortunately none of them have ever heard of an immersion heater, and it's staying that way.
Innit grand.
Don't mention the B word though. Not entirely responsible of course, but it is aggravating the situation and making things worse. As is its wont. Best we went through with it in the hardest possible way of course, stiff upper lip, no blubbing at the back, nothing else for it, over the top, blitz spirit etc...
