I had started to look like the Tom Hanks character in "Castaway" but yesterday, "she" cut my hair. Some clippers she'd bought that are allegedly fit for purpose. Longest setting on the top, and a short setting on the sides and back.
Wasnt sure about the result, but the fit blond piece who's half my age, and lives across the road, said I looked much younger when I passed her with the dog this morning.
So I suppose that's ok then.

Still in Castaway mode here. Had a zoom with a bunch of old mates to watch the rugby together over the weekend (*waves enthusiastically to England fans*) and there was much Captain Birdseye related tomfoolery. Some tosser managed to change my screen name to Readingson Crusoe.

Yes. I’m now four weeks past due for a haircut and waxing it down to keep it from sticking out at all angles won’t be enough for much longer. Boy2 cut it for me twice during the spring lockdown — but it was much warmer then. I’m working on persuading him to try it again — preferably while it will still be a reasonably quick job to keep our outdoor time to a comfortablish minimum. 🥶

Ah well, think of the money you’re all saving by not going to the barbers/salon!

She did mine in the kitchen. Tiled floor. Just brushed the hair straight out of the back door. I'd like to think think there are bits of it forming nests already.

Very probably. After our outdoor haircuts last May, I swept the paving but the little birds were straight down to collect the bits I’d missed.

If I could get this beard off in one go it would make an ideal ready made nest, and would save a birdie a lot of effort. Although it's probably the wrong colour(s) to be camouflaged in a tree.

Carefully cut it off, dye it brown, put it up a tree in your garden, wait for birds to occupy, and keep a video of the process. Put video on YouTube, make fortune ( or enough for a spare car anyway )
Sorted.

Crikey! I gave my face the day off from shaving on Friday, then remembered too late I had a rare video call (we're mercifully audio-only for most things) with a customer. That provoked enough anxiety to last all day; perhaps I needn’t have worried.

I have no video calling on my work network, for security reasons. Otherwise, I may have taken measures. As it is, I'm enjoying letting myself go. I wouldn't worry about a few days stubble if I were you, particularly for a continental customer.
