No one wants to be sent to Coventry.

Things have come to a pretty pass when a day out to an office block in Coventry is an exciting prospect.

Yep. Although in my case I used to live in Warwick and can usually find someone to have lunch with when I’m up that way, so no great hardship.

The transport museum in Coventry is well worth a visit. The idea of the 'new in the grounds of the old' with the Cathedral is marvellous, but I still can't like the building, either inside or out.

What is everyone's understanding of the lifting of restrictions on Monday? I'm struggling to fully grasp it. Do you think it will be ok to drive to a forest to cycle for example?

There isn't any detail yet is there. It's changing from stay at home to stay local is my guess. I might have already been going further for a walk than I should have.

Yeah, driving around with MTBs on the roof does seem a bit "obvious" until it's clear that it's ok to do that.

I have finally got fed up with the barnet and beard and let the missus at it with the shears. I think you're OK going cycling, so long as you observe social distancing still. It's all guidelines, not law. Fold the seats in the Merc down and stick the bikes in there. www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-52530518In Wales you're allowed to meet up in gardens, so, even though we're being "urged" to stay local, I haven't seen my Mum in a year and I'm intending to go down and spend an afternoon in the garden with her, socially distanced. Might swap the SCO badges on the car for CYM ones in case the local plod gets interested.

Yes I did think about putting the bikes inside the car. Hell of a faff though, when they are muddy anyway.

Well it's an old car now, on its last legs, can't do much harm.

No need to guess; it’s on gov.uk: ▪️Meet outdoors in groups of up to six from multiple households ▪️Participate in formally organised outdoor sports with no limit on numbers ▪️Outdoor activities for children ▪️Outdoor parent and child groups up to 15 people The requirement to work at home and to avoid unnecessary journeys remains, though. So while Llandegla will be allowed to open as an outdoor sports facility, travelling there from Cheshire seems a bit of a liberty.
