The cool vaccines are yet to come but we have approval today for the properly cold one. There’s also a list of population groups and the order in which they should line up to receive it. I’m in the last one before ‘Everyone Else’, so I’m not even sure there’ll be any left by the time I get to the front.
Anyway, it’ll all be shaken up again when the fridgeable Oxford vaccine is approved, as there’ll be far more of it and it’ll be possible to deliver it outside hospitals. But, for the moment, who else checked their place in the queue?

To be honest, I haven't. But I suppose I should. Everything is almost too hard now with this isn't it. It shouldn't be, but it's really tough to keep being worried.

Haven't checked but last time I looked I was in the penultimate group I think. I do wonder when they will get to our group; as although I am not a needle person I really want to go back to Israel. It is beginning to discomfort me that I have not seen his completed gravestone in place and I feel that I have left things in limbo. Have you seen the size of the needle in picture on the BBC News pages... I can't imagine that a vaccination requires something that big??? Big Needle!!

I don't know which place I'll be in the queue, it'll either be group 6 or group 9, depending on how serious my underlying condition is considered by my GP I expect.
Either way, bring it on, stick it in me, and I shall go down the pub again.

A cynic (!) might say that the vaccine is being allocated in descending order of likelihood of voting Tory. So Vić and I will be drinking at home for some time yet.

Probably just as well WDB, as I understand it, you can only go to the pub if you have a substantial meal while there. And, well, y'know, based on recent events etc, it might be a bit wise to dodge those for a while... 😉

It's struck me this morning that my son might actually be in group 6, as he turns 16 today. He has asthma, it's not very bad but anyone 16+ with an underlying condition is in group 6. So he might get it before me if his asthma is considered more serious than mine, and Mrs A was on the shielding list under the first lockdown due to her previous cancer episodes so I expect she's in group 6 too. Would be happy if all 3 of us get it at that stage, but happy to wait if others are considered higher priority.

You can get a deep fried scotch egg in select establishments north of the border. With chips of course. Got to have your 5 a day eh?

That's a bit odd, not liking Scotch Eggs. Unless you also dislike, er, eggs and sausages. And breadcrumbs. Or one out of those three of the blandest and commonest foodstuffs imaginable?
I'd happily have a deep fried one but I like a bit of deep fried haggis when I'm visiting civilisation and I'm in a proper chipper.

Nothing bland about a hard boiled egg. Revolting things. I find it difficult to be in the same room as someone eating one.
