Hope it is pleasure to own.
Try not to think about how much it's depreciated already. Put you off your cocoa.

Well I drove it back from the dealer to home this afternoon, the initial test drive confirms, this is a big car that drives small, its considerable size never feels an issue on the roads, so its a bit of a shock to bring it home, park it on the drive next to the volvo, where you suddenly realise its considerable length. The cage has gone in without adjustment, made easier because I specced adjustable luggage features meaning the back seat rests can be adjusted forward, and the cage can be strapped down to the sliding luggage rails.
At dog training club tonight, its convenience immediately became obvious, the boot area has three very well placed (one in each 3/4 panel facing in, and one inside the raised tailgate facing down) lights bathing the area in a bright white light, no more trying to get dog training aids out in the dim glow of a normal boot light. The interior lighting (mood light strips everywhere) is, it has to be said, can be a bit like a hong kong cocktail bar if you are not careful with the settings.
The dog is loving the flat stance of adaptive suspension through corners, I'll see what new increased cornering speeds she can endure.

..... I'll see what new increased cornering speeds she can endure..... ...so you went for the self-cleaning boot option in the end...

Wonโt matter about them, heโll have to slow right down for corners what with those balloon tyres on little wheels. ๐

How you getting on with the frequent fuel stops ? Obviously, you don't buy a 540i for its economy. I've noticed the switch from a fuel stop every 2.5 weeks with the S60 diesel to every 4 days with the RS.

Well, I have managed to creep the MPG up to 26.9, and thats with a typical milage mix, its not THAT far off the longboat at 32mpg. Think I'll probably get 380 out of a tankful. Trouble is with so many stokers in the engine room, its impossible not to whip them now and again! On the flat on cruise control, at an indicated 85 mph, its sipping 29 mpg.
But hey if you cant do the time, dont do the crime.
How is the boy racer machine?
