Just driven it up the hill to Jerusalem and down again. It worked really well and got 50mpg. Impressed.

A sterner task the last couple of days; motorway journeys in heavy traffic. The CVT wasn't great at strong acceleration. Needed a heavy right foot and some help from a 'sport' button to really keep up with fast moving traffic. But as it's a small car I don't think the Micra can be criticised too much. Even Espadrille has commented how she likes the car - very unusual.

I caught myself slightly admiring a Jazz "Sport" the other day. Quite disturbing actually. I mentioned it to my son who then suggested it was maybe time for me to check out sheltered accommodation.

One of the nicest shades of cornflower blue I've ever seen on a car was on the previous-model Jazz. For some reason Honda offered it only on the Jazz.
I have to confess that we did have a Jazz, for SWMBO, when we were omly in our 50s. In our defence it was when they first came out, in 2002, before they acquired The Image. Then as now, brilliant use of space but uninspiring to drive and much too low-geared at motorway speeds. Generally we missed the Ford Ka which had preceded it.
