So, it's needling Mark, this thread.... La-da’s not the way to go. (Not fair to blame Humph. His idea of the sound of music is bagpipes.)

I once heard a bunch of larrikins singing a rather amusing version of this appalling song in a curry house, it went like this:
Do(ugh) is stuff I buy beer with Ray a bloke who buys me beer Me a bloke I buy beer for Far a long way to the bar So I'll have another beer La la la la la la la Tea no thanks I'll have a beer Which will bring us back to Do(ugh)...
And yet I can't remember anyone's birthday or any other useful information.

Bagpipes - an ill wind that nobody blows good.
But I agree: we shouldn't blame Humph, who I'm sure fulfils the definition of a Scottish gentleman - someone who can play the bagpipes but doesn't.

Could well be. PGW also wrote 'It is never difficult to distinguish between a Scotsman with a grievance and a ray of sunshine' (probably referring to Angus McAllister, Lord Emsworth's head gardener).

Anyone got a harpsichord I can borrow?
It was white, but it was Citroen C3. I was amazed.

Presumably you have all the pink body paint you need. Cherry yogurt makes a reasonable substitute...
...I’m told.

Prefer raspberry myself. Never liked cherries.
