Let's hope the National Grid don't need to start recruiting abroad. Something is better than nothing doesn't always work out.

I shouldn’t have looked. Now I feel dirty.
If we didn't have the extra millions of people who shouldn't be here, then we wouldn't need as many doctors and nurses, or any other part of our infrastructure.
Going to stop looking now.

🤣 I like to dip in and out just to see how other brains are wired.
I think the Dailys (Express and Mail) exist as psychology case study material.

This is going to sound racist… but I heard it from a young female comedian of mixed race….
Paraphrasing: the irony of Brexit is that you wanted to reduce immigration… so you kicked out all the white (European) people. So now you’ve got us coming in instead (black/filipino/Indian, etc)!

Well that is the point I made before the referendum, in another place. That the anti-immigration people were hardly going to be impressed when the Poles and Romanians left and their places were filled by Ugandans and Philipinos. The thing is, absolutely nobody who voted Leave got the Brexit they voted for. Whilst everyone who voted Remain got the Brexit they voted against. 56% now saying "wrong to Leave" in the latest opinion polls. Sigh. Oh well, at least we can be certain that the tax rises and spending cuts coming this afternoon are absolutely, categorically "nothing to do with Brexit". Remoaners need to shut up about it, they lost, they need to get over it, and it's all their fault that Brexit is a disaster. Innit.

OMG - A commentator in the Telegraph who normally supports Brexit says the experiment has failed and we should go back in.... To be fair, her complaint is not that she doesn't want Brexit but that the implementation has been so poor that we have had no benefit at all and we have no chance of getting any benefits in the future. Reading between the lines, her complaints are based around convenience - or now the lack of it.
Given the mess we are making of keeping illegal immigrants out, we should actually join Schengen to get proper border free travel in Europe.

7 euro visas needed to visit the EU for UK passport holders from November this year. So I'll be travelling with 2 passports from then, one to leave/enter the UK, one to enter/leave the EU. Faff. But a little 2 fingers to Brexit from me.

The €7 visa should have already happened - the rest of us have a bit more time. I think it last a few years.
Hopefully it will stop my passport filling up with stamps long before it's expired.

When you visit the US you get a stamp as well as having the ESTA, will it be different for Europe ? I'd expect the stamp to verify in and out dates to comply with the 90 in 180 rule.

I think the (delayed) computer system tracks entry and exit dates across the Schengen area. They don't really check the stamps at the moment to calculate time in the Schengen zone.

A 7 Euros fee is cheap. Isn’t the US ESTA around US$15?
New Zealand now charging foreign visitors 26 quid per person for an ESTA and tourism levy..!

7€ is a deal breaker if you read the comments section of any Brexit article in the Daily Express or Daily Mail.
Europe, or the EU, has it in for the UK whereas a visa for any other part of the world is jolly good value, apparently.
