Fuel cost nil.
It'll never catch on.
.....it'll never last....

Jealous. Gallery is on the list and not got there yet.
Have looked at getting to Edinburgh for a short break a number of times but not sorted it yet. Costs a million pounds on the train, and it's quite the drive. Not one for the Zoe, unless feeling masochistic.
Might work out the journey time actually, just for giggles.

..........(about £1, no local co2)........ ...not sure I get the relevance of this. CO 2 isn't particularly a local concern, more a global one. CO, NO x and particulate matter might, however, be seen in a different light. Were there another 431 cars charging in Tesco alongside you?

Scottish Govt is aiming to phase out new petrol and diesel cars by 2032, so it should last until at least I retire.
I think the £££ being spent to subsidise home chargers (£500 grant from OLEV and up to another £500 in Scotland from the Energy Saving Trust) would be better spent building up a public network though.
I've never heard an EV driver say they got an EV because they'd get a free home charger.
And I wonder how many EV buses could have been bought for the price of Edinburgh's Trams....

CO2, please. I should hope we have more than the Internet average of Chemistry O-levels between us.

Listen, when you type on an iPad and you're in a shortbread coma and you've been fighting to get "argy-bargy" not to come out repeatedly as army-Barry, or arty-bargain or any other variant that autocorrect insists upon, and anyway you didn't mean that particular gas, you're lucky you got a comment at all, sunshine.
And now I'm going to rush up the stairs wailing "I don't want to talk about it".

Listen, when you type on an iPad and you're in a shortbread coma... Is that from too much shortbread or too little?

Or electrocuted plugging in the car charging cable. I assume he's just enjoying a new car I think it will be my turn next (mine a Skoda though) and then Nogbad's excellent 540i AWD estate. Which will be costing probably 70+% more than my 'cheap' Skoda.

Knowing Al's uncanny knack of rummaging through a fruit bowl of cars, and unerringly coming out with the lemon, I suspect it caught fire and burned down the house when he plugged it in.
