Did anyone ever ask for self-parking? Or stuff like lane keep assist?

Does your have the rear wash wiper? That was optional when I got it (at zero cost) so I had that. But back then you had to have it if you added the reversing camera. No, no wash wipe, which is a shame really. Could have done with it. Oh well, just like being back in an old fashioned saloon car like my Orion or beloved Regata. I would have thought the opposite would have been true of the reversing camera. If you have one, then surely less need for the rear window to be perfectly clear? I'd have thought it would be more sensible to have a wiper as standard on cars without reversing cameras.

…or a camera that cleans itself? (Cue for something from Humph about ‘emasculating’. Not that I ever felt the need to clean the lens on the CLS, and I once got a pin-sharp view of an enormous spider grinning at me as I selected reverse.)

I think the wiper was needed to have the camera because the camera did have a cleaning mechanism so needed water hence the need for the wash wipe at the rear. At least it used to be able to clean it on cars back then. Could have removed that.
The wash wipe was actually free to have - but optional. I think they wanted it to be more saloon like. Although there's been at least one saloon over time that had an option rear wiper too.

I was about to write cameras are usually positioned, on hatchbacks and estates, right in the crud zone requiring a wipe before being useful.
I only use my camera for final positioning making sure I'm in the parking bay or positioning in the garage not hitting my motorbike. They are handy for hooking up to a trailer which I've done once in 38 years of motoring.

I have had to go to an "office" today. Through town, then down two motorways for 2 junctions. 40mpg reported. I always have a very poor start to MPGs when I leave home in the rush hour, as I have no other option but to join a traffic jam immediately I turn out of my road, in order to access a bridge to get anywhere significant - the other direction is north and as we all know that's a local place for local people. So my first 5-10 minutes is always sitting with a cold engine ticking over. The stop/start doesn't initiate because the engine isn't warm enough. So after that performance it's quite OK to have reached an average of 40MPGs at destination. I prefer the Leaf of course for commuting duties but I had to leave that behind for Mrs A today. This is one of the reasons I was tempted with the PHEV Superb, but I think the shallower boot would have reduced its practicality beyond acceptable levels for me and my dog.

No. An actual "office", in which I'm expected to "work". The humanity.
You wouldn't understand. Bargain Hunt in a minute.

Been out and about a bit this weekend. Leicester and back with the lad on a University run, then down to the New Forest and a walk on Milford beach yesterday for a bit of fresh air and change of scenery. Really pleased with the car for journeys like that in terms of comfort, refinement and driveability, I have averaged 54mpg on both trips. Gone are the days of the missus yabbering away and me constantly having to ask her to repeat herself in case there are going to be questions later, as was the case in the Civic because of the road noise. Set cruise at 70, relax. Am also pleased with the way Android Auto works for Google maps from my phone. Was Mrs A's first time in the New Forest, on the way I told her about the wild ponies, she thought I was pulling her leg.

Nice trip — thinking of Milford rather than Leicester. Impressed if you managed to cruise at 70 on the M3 on a sunny Sunday.

Yeah, it was surprisingly free-flowing going south. Bit more stop start on the way back but nothing too bad.
