It cost me £1,700 about six years ago to fix replace the full rear suspension... air bags, pump and shocks.

I wouldn't worry Humph. £1,700 every >210,000 miles as part of machine maintenance isn't that bad. Another way to look at it is it's less than 3 months payments on something new or 5 minutes depreciation on something new.

Or less than a penny per mile. When compared with fuel including electricity per mile it's a fraction.
