I really don't think I would be readily mistaken for one of those. My eyes don't swivel...

I'm pleased to read that. Dangerous for other road users you know...

Well, I certainly got the chance to test the worth of the winter tyres on the car yesterday. We were at one of our favourite MTB haunts at Llandegla and even the approach roads were pretty challenging. I took a load of my own photos but they seem to be too big to post here, or, most probably I'm too thick to work out what to do about that. Anyway, here's a link to the website and if you scroll down to the news section you'll see some pics of the conditions there yesterday. Ace fun to ride in though, if physically draining ! oneplanetadventure.com/

Quick iPhone method is to email the picture to myself and select one of the smaller size options.
Place looks interesting. Would one of their courses make a good 17th birthday present for Boy2? He grumbled through our French trip in July that he didn’t get enough woods to crash through.

Absolutely, and your bike would just about cope with blue trail, you'd love it I promise.

Or, if you had a long weekend or something, you could try Coed Y Brenin one day, come back inland the next day and try Llandegla and maybe have a third day at Cannock Chase before heading home. Three excellent venues.

Right well, enough of this fannying about on my ipad. Off up a mountain to ponder a few things...

Wish I was up a mountain today. Instead I'm stuck in the house with, shall we say, an eclectic mix of visitors...😬

Can't imagine any UK mountain today would have been much fun. Miserable again here; my ambitions were limited to visiting Tesco in search of next year’s Christmas pudding — only to find they had none left at all. Something suspicious there, I think. Yesterday’s was dated March 2018 and seemed a bit young. Awful to contemplate eating one that hasn’t even reached its date.

A decent day at last. Went out this morning for a couple of hours with Boy1 and felt every day of the three months since I last rode. It was gorgeous out in the beech woods, though — so I can mix satisfaction with the soreness tomorrow.

Hey WDB, which woods do you cycle in? Burnham Beeches?
