Sounds like you are “going off” the e-Soul, BP?
Which faceless EuroNCAP committee unilaterally decided that all this lane-keeping safety tech was so good for us that we can’t disable it permanently? Nobody seems to like it, or have asked for it!

Sounds like you are “going off” the e-Soul, BP? I wouldn't say going off it. I actually enjoy driving it, scooting around from place to place locally and it costs buttons to run. My gripe, as such, is more to do with the local roads layout. Between the village where we live and the nearest town is a row of five or six houses with a 50kph limit. Due to the heavy of foot the local authority has placed three chicanes to slow down the traffic. Most of the time there are very few cars on the road, the car fights back every time I cross the centre line to go around these chicanes. I could use the indicator but why ? There's no one around to tell. Early days dim witted AI in the car would like confirmation I know what I'm doing. I don't like SUVs, that is true. Never have so no change there. If it wasn't for us having a dog the saloon car I've had for the last 9 and a bit years would do for me. The Focus estate ticks that last box. The dog is three so I will need the extra space of the estate car for a few years to come. My children have already threatened not to leave home any time soon.

You'll miss them when they eventually go... And look forward to their leaving again after they have come home for a few days...
