There is often a reason why things are rare...

Wonder why the dealer hasn’t cut their price just to get shot of the thing by now?

Remind us how much you got in partex for it.... does seem odd they have not reduced the price yet.

Difficult thing to sell, I suspect, even before the apocalypse. I looked up the number of my old E220 on the tax site and it came up as ‘not found’. Could have been given a new number, I suppose.

Remind us how much you got in partex for it.... does seem odd they have not reduced the price yet. I got £1050, then the dealer who bought it sent it to auction. I would estimate the dealer who is now trying to sell it paid about £1500 at auction, more perhaps given his unwillingness to knock the price down. It really does need an Edd China to buy it, as it'll cost at least £3k to put right at garage labour rates, an that's just the turbo and injectors. Neither of those things will be evident on purchase, unless the buyer takes off the engine cover and spots the injector issue. So I expect whoever buys it will be unaware of the issues.

She's off autotrader, finally. I think I've worked out what Humph's cunning plan is. Well bought, Humph.

As I recall, Humph’s ultimate cunning plan involves a big straw hat and a hammock. Perhaps he failed to find a hammock and lit on the next best thing to sway him gently from side to side.

No, y'see, the thing with properly cunning plans is that they are, by definition, so cunning, that only the planner can know how cunning they are, and no amount of fishing on the part of those who think they know what the plan is, or could be, could possibly lead them to know how cunning it was until it was initiated in its full glory, or indeed, wasn't.
More to follow.
Maybe...

Don't worry, it doesn't involve any executions. 😜

The dealer selling your old Merc Al probably went bankrupt, or sent all his stock to the auctions?!

Could be, Scoob. gov.uk shows it as untaxed since I traded it in last November. The battery was starting to fade, despite being only 2 years old, I expect it's shot now. Probably my fault though (isn't everything), I fitted a cheap standard one rather than an AGM.
