I thought that when my S60 went. Traded in in May, retaxed in July for six months, scrapped some time between then and January.

Thank you. Funny where the time goes when life gets in the way. Your old car might surprise you. My old Volvo that I sold in 2013 is still going. Think I sold it too soon. Last MOT in Sept. 218k miles and still no advisories. |

I've told the "others" before, but my Mondeo TDCi estate, which I finally sold in 2010 with nigh on 200K on it even then, is still going at 17 years old and knocking on the door of 300K, or it was at its last MOT in February. I'm curious to know if it gets one in Feb 2020 or not. Damn sure there's a set of my Allen keys under the boot floor.

...out of interest, I checked my first VW camper, which was initially registered in January 1990. Despite a litany of advisories and failures in the interim, it last passed its MOT in March this year with only a single advisory for slight play in the wheel bearings, at 213,849 miles.  |
