Look on the bright side, it won't have been over exposed to sun bleaching then will it? 😉

BTW, Humph, the load length is max 1815mm. Bigger than the 1.6m you need...minimum width is 1050mm. I think you said you need 1.6 m length and 1m width. When are you going to order yours?

True. But you have sometimes wondered aloud if you should withdraw from the company car scheme and fund your own second hand vehicle.
Diesels are available for the higher mileage gentleman. No diesel autos though, but the 1.8 petrol auto claims 53mpg on a run.

I do still ponder on that sometimes. I guess the really clever thing would be to get a company funded vehicle that technically qualifies as a van. Monthly bik would drop from over £500 to £108 last time I checked. 0r to put it another way, £4800 a year saving. Or, £24,000 over the likely 5 year life of the vehicle...
It's a thought isn't it? Could get her something nice with the change to use for non-work stuff.

There is one potential issue with the car - it's got a Manchester registration number. It would be a lot worse - you could be a Scouser!

Same number of cylinders, after all. That £24k will buy you you the motor home you need.

There is one potential issue with the car - it's got a Manchester registration number. Easily fixed.

That's a Newcastle reg, which is almost as bad.
I wonder if RO58 EEF is still available?

It was, two years ago when I chose the nonsensical pair to put on our cars. (There were two criteria, one of which was that all the characters have a vertical axis of symmetry. The other was even sillier.) But it’s since been snapped up, a mere seven years after I first pointed it out to the waiting internet.

Might be worth more than the car. Coincidentally, that Clio’s MoT has the same expiry date as the Toyota that the E that might have worn RO58 EEF replaced on our drive.

Very, very low annual mileage increments on that Clio. I doubt it ever goes to France. Wonder why they bought the plate? Then again I wonder why anyone bothers, to be quite honest. My congenital tight arsed Jockery coming through there.

I used to have one, when it was a bit unusual to do so. But when it became too popular I got rid of it.
