I went Wales like you too for a family visit. I set out with about 14 electric range (just over 50%) and made sure it was in hybrid at the start. But by the time I got there it was down to 1 mile but when I filled it up I got a brim-to-brim of 51mpg which I thought not bad and the computer was close saying 53mpg. Just under 19 litres. Coming back I had to electric range showing so computer was saying 45 mpg... we'll see when I brim it later. Not great for mpg but I don't do many long trips and could do most short ones on electric.
Off to get free electric when I do the shop later.
Of course I couldn't charge the 330e at my mum's because (a) there would be a cable across the pavement outside a terraced house and (b) at 3.6kV it would take about 5 hours. Besides I wanted to see what it could do in the real world on a long trip. Furthest I've been on a motorway.
I hope your mum was okay Al.

In my Civic, I left home with a full tank, and got back still showing 125 miles range. So that works out that the car roughly has a 500 mile range, which isn't bad for a 1.8 147bhp petrol I reckon (fully laden with 4 people and stuff). The tank is 50 litres. If anyone cares to work out the rough mpg from that, be my guest. I can't be bothered.

I went to Wales too on Sunday. Used some diesel, couldn't begin to say how much. But not much really I suppose. Not enough to care anyway.

Off to get free electric when I do the shop later. Nice not to have to pay, of course, but if your 330e has a usable capacity of 9kWh, that’s worth about £1.50. Fair enough if you’d be going anyway but not enough to change your shopping habits. I confess I’m lazy about public charging. I mostly can’t be bothered, although there’s a free 7kW charger at the car park I use when I’m in town. I tried it once and it didn’t work — and I don’t like doing my experimenting in public. Might have to work on that once I’m without the comfort blanket of Rex.

I go anyway so just plug it in whilst shopping. Means at least one way of the journey is on electric.

The local Aldi store has installed a charger for two vehicles. Free electricity for up to an hour at a time for shoppers. Kind of struggling with the idea of parting with 200€ for a cable to get a 'free' charge.
Other Aldi stores have chargers with cables. When I have used them, they usually stop charging at around 15kW, about 88kms of range / visit max. One visit / week will take almost a year to recover the cost of the cable. I don't go to that supermarket so often.
We both have an appointment for our first Pfizer-BioNTech impfen next Monday.

The 330e doesn't come with the type 2 cable but my lease company included one FoC with the order. It didn't change the list price/monthly cost. I've not used the 13-pin plug one yet and may never do in the next 12 months with the car.

I used the free charge points at my workplace extensively, and it has easily paid for itself. Have occasioanlly used it at free public chargers, but my use of public charging is absolutely insignificant. So you have a point for people who don't public charge much and don't have free chargers at work etc. But if you regularly go to a gym with a charger for example, then you should be riding your bike there could probably benefit from one.

You’ll be fine.
Second Pfizer for me next Friday. My day off but I chose to go then for a first-thing slot, rather than in work time on Thursday afternoon when they’ll have had all day to build up delays.

It’ll be another 6 months before I see the needle I reckon. Oh well can’t really leave the country anyway. Quarantine-free flights to Oz have started but no desire to go there. Flights to the Cook Islands restart next week though, which is tempting for a winter holiday in a couple months time 🌴 🌞

2nd AZ tomorrow morning for me. Hope I don't feel as rubbish as after the first one. Ok, so had AZ-2 yesterday as planned. Not nearly as bad a reaction as the first one. Became very very tired again by evening though. Slept like a baby last night. 10 hours, which is a lot for me, normally need about 6 or 7 at most. Seem ok this morning. No sore arm or anything. Hopefully, that's it. Don't want to miss out on the short window of dry weather we're expecting tomorrow. Bikes to ride and so on.

I was hoping it would rain all day. At the moment it looks like being a miserable, damp, windy afternoon but still just dry enough to play cricket in a desultory, wish-we-weren't-doing-this manner. Fingers crossed for the call to say the ground we're visiting (not one of our favourite venues even on a nice day) is too wet.

Reprieved! The puddles are apparently too deep to play around or to soak away in time.
