Don't be too harsh, BPG, he's been locked up alone for months now. 😜

Espada, a few pages back I think Backpfeifengeweissnicht suggested you might like something 'wafty'
You could both waft and have the wind in your hair if you find a nice six-cylinder convertible - Audi, BMW or Mercedes - or if you need an excuse not to take the children, go for a 2-seater like a BMW X4 or Mercedes SLK.
PS - good call, Al, to keep the Leaf. From all you've said it sounds like a good one.

I don't think he's keeping THE Leaf, he's going to get ANOTHER Leaf which is newer and has a bigger battery.
Good call I'd say - not so much to go wrong with an all electric car is there. Assuming the electronics are reliable. Certainly not as complicated as a PHEV.

Am experimenting with being a 1-car household at the moment. Have polished up my A1 and left it in the garage at home for the past 10 days... Haven’t needed it. I wouldn’t bother buying an additional car Esp!

Assuming the electronics are reliable. Certainly not as complicated as a PHEV. I'm going to go to a Nissan dealer today and see what they can offer me in terms of finance payments on a 30kwh Leaf to replace the current 24kwh. It will be newer, I'll be back under warranty, and there's an offer on at the moment with 2 years free servicing (such as it is) and some measure of deposit contribution. Also, I've got an online trade in offer for my current car which leaves me with £2,700 equity to play with, and is £500 higher than WBAC. I expect I'll go for it if payments come out at roughly what I'm paying now, I expect it'll be a 2017 car. My current car is a 2015. If I can an squeeze up a spec level from Acenta to Tekna that'd be nice - heated leather, all round cameras, swishier wheels, DAB radio and a BOSE amp, amongst other stuff I expect. We'll see, but I'll be perfectly happy with another in the same spec as my current one.

Not for £6k though. Stupid money. That Tipo is a much better bet.

The car market in Ireland has always struck me as chicken oriental.

Think the seller has been on here and hopes Al has really deep pockets and desperately wants one. Were they that price when new ?
