Yes I've seen new handles on eBay too. Will get a round tuit eventually, but the cheapy Ikeas do such a good job, at one seventh of the price of a single Creuset replacement handle. There is absolutely no difference in the results in cooking terms. I file Creuset pans (which were bought for me by my Mum, I'd never dream of buying any myself, total waste of money) with incredibly expensive copper hifi wire.

Halfords’ site has a feature called ‘Bikes available next week’. There are six.
If it really is Cycle2Work (and I wouldn’t use that awful style if it weren’t the exact name) then you are subject to the same rules as I was. They include the option to use an independent retailer, as I did. It’s there in the FAQ.
And since C2W is operated by Halfords, it’s unlikely a rival scheme would compel you to buy from there. So I really don’t think you’re tied to Halfords for your bike.

I said the scheme might start in a couple of weeks time. It will probably run for two months. I'm not overly concerned about next week.
What would be your choice from the website, regardless of immediate stock?

You know, just for fun like. I don't even HAVE to buy anything through C2W. Or anything at all come to that. But I thought it would be worth hearing your expert opinion on the Halfords range. Of course you don't have to give one, but OK. |
