Left-field choices for young drivers

Just had a power cut for a few hours and couldn't do any work, so I had a bit of a once-over of Ye Olde Corolla. Found 2 broken things.
1 - Found a boot release lever in the glovebox. Then found where it used to be attached, just under the driver seat near the door, next to the fuel filler cap release. I expect it will superglue back on if I can be bothered to try. But it seems a remarkably stupid place to locate such a large plastic lever, I'm only surprised the fuel release one hasn't sufffered the same fate, although it is smaller.
2 - The driver's door seal (the part attached the body, not the door), has a missing piece, and perhaps that's why the car gets so much condensation overnight on cold nights. Would be a pain to remove the whole of the old one and fit new so again probably won't bother. Just realised I didn't check the passenger side, will have a look later.
Other things, the coolant was a bit above minimum in the expansion tank, so I added a couple of glugs of matching coolant I had knocking around to bring it up to just below max. Oil level still perfect, and is still very clean looking. Air filter looks very clean too, so no need to worry. Pollen filter looks a faff to get out from behind the glovebox so sod that. Brake fluid reservoir full, also steering fluid, radiator looks clean and all hoses and connections look good, no signs of perishing anywhere. Same goes for the aux belt.
Might get it to a garage to change the brake fluid (you never know), and disassemble all the brakes to give them a good clean and see if any parts could do with a refresh - I have no idea how long the pads have been on it and there's always the risk they fall apart from ageing, so maybe best get them looked at before I scream down the M4 at a breakneck 60mph.
Also want to find out where the rainwater drains are and given them a rodding in case that's linked to the condensation, but with there being so many variants of Corolla, it's difficult to find pictures/videos of my specific one, they all seem to be the later models.
