When I was about 10 we rented an apartment long-term in Malta as my father was doing business there. So we had many holidays there for about six years.
The family next door had a Fulvia, driven by what I assume was the wife who probably woud have been early 30s. I don't know if I was smitten by her good looks or those of the car, but I can still remember both 40+ years later...

He has the front bumper. I have the front bumper for my car. I like to have it on the front of the car.

Are bumpers somehow not cool? No good asking here; I’ll have to ask around at home.

Only in France where touch parking is the preferred method of stopping. In Benelux a tow bar is seen as a parking aid.

I was chatting to my son and his girlfriend last night. They are both 20 ( and a half if that matters ) He passed his driving test soon after his 17th birthday on a manual and continues to drive the same car now. She hasn't had any lessons yet but is starting to think she would like to be able to drive.
She's not at all interested in cars, and just wants the convenience of being able to drive. The thought occurs to me, and indeed my son ( who has inherited a little bit of his father's car nerdiness ) that she might be as well to just get an automatic licence given that most cars will be autos during their lifetime.
