That brings back memories. An Irish aquaintance of mine had three of those in succession. He loved them.

Yep, that's an all time favourite all right. I loved that little generation of cars, the Alfa 164, SAAB 9000, Lancia Thema and FIAT Croma. Sad that I've never owned one.

I had the Saab 9000 LPT which was huge but dull and Espadrille hated it. Got shot of it before it caused me problems - which it did to the next owner... That Opel GT is gorgeous, like a poor man's Corvette but nicer. Still want an X1/9 though

I went to look at an X1/9 donkeys years ago. I'm not all that tall, just about 6', but I couldn't fit in it. And no, it wasn't a girth issue before you lot start !

Funnily enough, there was a green one of those in a terrible film I watched last night (Killer Elite with Robert de Niro, who evidently had a large tax bill to pay about that time, seeing as he had to lower himself to appearing in this shite alongside Jason Statham). Set in 1980, it was replete with great old motors, which was just about enough to keep my interest. Nearly had a conniption when it looked like they were going to wreck a coke bottle Cortina. Evidently there was a car fan in the props ordering department, really impressive effort on that front. Spoiled by some hideously fake number plates though, with absolutely ridiculous letter/number combos.

The first one is lovely. And it has a sunroof, which is good for the avoidance of Covid 19. Vitamin D y'see. Sunroofs are the answer. 😉

Ginger hair is nature's answer. No true Scotsman is without.

Does that make you immune? I'd love it if it did ( not that I am ginger ) Could you imagine Boris trying to explain that one !

It means you can produce vitamin D without sunlight. That appears to have been nature's purpose (not that it can be really said to have one) for the mutation, rather than the hilarious comedy orangeness and increased aggressive tendencies increased attractiveness most people think it confers on its victim carrier, enabling humans to live in more northerly latitudes.

That is probably the most interesting thing I have learned in ages, well, certainly since Prof Brian Cox has last been seen on the TV.
What a great factoid !

First car - lovely but why no internal photos? Nice big rear wiper though... Second car - a slow dog. It's big boot and comfy seats are its only redeeming features...
