The 'Sud's no good. Mk2 was far less pure than Mk1 (too much plastic) and only 1350cc not the 1500cc which was superior in every way including 85bhp.
Only ever taken a car over the channel once. 1999 in our Mitsubishi Spacewagon with one toddler. We enjoyed it, but Espadrille doesn't like long car journeys so we have never repeated. Shame, I would love to drive down to Puglia and then ferry across to Greece.

Mk2 had brakes fitted.
I would rather a 1.5Ti of course (white), but this little one is only £4k, 1.5Tis are about £10k and I didn't want to be too greedy, after all it is a gift so if you'd just be so kind as to place the order thank you please.

It's not the car ride; it's the fact that she likes to see something of the countryside and that length of drive would be wasted if we simply barrelled down the Autostrada de Sole missing out bits in order to save time. I understand that, but I wish I had the time....

We have talked about renting a motorhome and go on a long trip... But I really am not old enough. Besides I like driving and doesn't the cruise control have an autosteer function as well? Too boring

Ah, the "Belgrade Taxi". Far too luxurious.

My last Belgrade taxi was a Skoda. Or was it a Kia? I really don't remember - and it was only last week. Or there's this: www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1006779. Red again - but the velour interior brings back happy memories.
