Well, it “clattered” all the way to Lincoln this morning and recorded 61.3 mpg...Not bad for such an agricultural engine in a big automatic car I’d say.

I need to investigate the Murano's fuel consumption. i.e. pay attention. It is truly bloody awful around town, though I cannot quantify "bloody awful". I took it out to the beach the other day, which is a steady 100km freeway run. When I filled it up it said it's range was more than 550km which remained consistent all the way back into town. After a week of town use I filled it up last night and now it's predicted range is 320km.
I knew it was bad in town, but that's awful. I shall pay closer attention. Though that only means taking the computer's word for it, I can't be arsed to actually do more than that.
