At the resolution I posted you probably can't read it, but it does say "Chevette" and the front of the bonnet.

What car from your youth would still work for you, provided it still worked, if you see what I mean? Easy: Saab 900 T16S.

Oh so many...
Renault Fuego MKIII Cortina MKI Escort Granada Lancia Beta HPE
and so many more.
I used to specialise in buying shit examples of great cars. Not on purpose, you understand, just inevitably. The results of a limited budget, half a brain and a conviction that the latest car I;d seen I had to have and I had to have now.

What's the wee blue one? At first I thought it was a Peugeot but then I noticed its rear engined. NSU maybe, or a VW?

The Peugeot and the VW have polythene for their passenger windows. is this common in Chile? Break-in aftermath never fixed?

The blue one is a rear engined VW.
Plastic instead of windows doesn't mean anything more than at some point in its life it got broken. Not unusual and imported spares are a horrendous price. e.g. the local Toyota place wanted around £1,000 for a new door mirror for the PPOS.

Though actually I think in the case of the Peugeot the window is not broken, its a sun screen.

I don't really think it warrants further discussion amongst gentlemen.
