Yes it is. Doner kebab. Lamb usually, there are chicken varieties these days too. Shish kebabs are proper chunks of meat on a skewer, conventionally grilled.
What's this got to do with my new DCR electric jalopy then?

I hope you spill chili sauce in it.
p.s. great car, I'd have one in a shot. Can't wait for you to report back after the first month or so.

I found the link to the silly cheap a month thing on a Leaf. Ringed with caveats but here it is. www.motoringresearch.com/car-news/nissan-scrappage-scheme/I've had the chunky kebab things, but only in a packet from Mr Waitrose. I hope I may stay. Did you say you'd seen Ian Sampsons Leaf videos on YouTube? The early ones when he first gets the Leaf are interesting, as he struggles to work out exactly what it can do. Interestingly, his lease is up now after four years and he's just bought a Zoe, not that he thinks there's anything wrong with the Leaf.

Err....shit. Dealer didn't tell me about that. Where are the caveats of which you speak?
Ah, hang on, as you were. "Owners of cars worth £2500". Mine's only £300.

It's in the link, pre 2010 trade in, have to press button by end of September is about it I think. Anyway, I know no more than it says in that article.

I hadn't heard of your gentleman's YouTube videos, I'll have a look. Thanks.
EDIT: Spoke to dealer, the scrappage deal is for cars in Nissan Finance stock, not dealer stock, but dealers can still get the 3.9% PCP which is what I'm getting on my dealer trade-in anyway. They all have higher screen price too, so the extra deposit contribution gets gobbled up.
Think I'm happy enough now.

Episode 1 where's he's thinking about it.
I think we're now up to episode 5 million and three, and boy, does he blather, but you might get something out of some of it somewhere. A personable real bloke showing us the ups and downs.

Who's Dum Dum then?
Hope you get on with the new car. Should be good for your commute and keep costs down. I gave in for now on a hybrid because I can't charge off-road at home. One other house has 4 cars and sometimes a van so no guarantee of being close to the side of the house either!
