Err no. Far too expensive. Eye wateringly expensive. Beautifully made - I've seen the whole process. Mind you, the waxed jacket looking think was being worn by my client last week. He is about 5'5" and over weight (sort of like Danny DeVito). It didn't make him look 6'0" and 13st that's for sure.

It's not outrageously expensive for stuff made in the UK from good materials. I quite like the moleskin 'mechanic jacket', although that may be because I keep buying short casual jackets and finding none of them perfect, so I'm always looking out for the next one.

If i was spending sums of money approaching 4 figures on an overcoat for example, then I would be paying just a wee bit extra for made to measure, Here for example. www.crombie.co.uk/mens-coats.htmlOvercoats like that really look the business if the shoulders and the sleeve length are right.

Oh, I don't disagree, Sven. Certainly at that level for the kind of thing you might be wearing for 30 years.
Casual stuff is a bit different, though, and there does seem to be a difference in the detailing that can make it worth paying a little more. For example, I'd love a really good suede jacket. I have a 'high street' one, which fits well but has rib-knit cuffs that are only really comfortable on days that are too cold for the jacket itself. It was an opportunist buy in a sale and I've had my money's worth from it, but one day I'll find one I'm really happy with, but I doubt it'll be cheap.

Today bloke goes into local Volvo service centre, a jaguar/landrover/volvo official service centre, to order a new key.* While there he chats to a tech just driving a Jaguar F-pace out of the workshops after its PDI. WOW, gorgeous inside or what? It was a polar white with cream leather interior. However, its no good for bloke as the boot is too short, specially for his new Dog cage** Dont think that will stop bloke arranging a test drive, even tho he wont be buying one. * Key Blade, 77 quid, Key Remote 87 quid, 1 hour - 90 quid - to programme it into the system, + VAT, ie 300 quid for a key. Not out of line in the scheme of things, that is, the rip off price generally charged for new keys. Plus I have ordered 4 new tyres, 450 quid Expensive this big car game. ** A variocage, crash tested with crumple zones and adjustable length to fit a range of LEC

Lovely dog. How is the competing going with the gammy hip??
Don't bother with the F-Pace. Everyone I have seen so far has been driven by a pillock. We don't have any of those in this pub.

The Physio's today signed me off*. I am now mostly crutchless with a reasonable gait, tho its uncomfortable and tiring. On Saturday we have the national finals, and I expect not to win or get placed as I haven't done any training with her for 6 weeks. But thats fine, i am happy and grateful to be fit enough to compete. * They are in truth a little astonished at the progress made, less than 4 weeks after surgery. As far as the 2017 car goes, its clearly going to be from Merc E, BMW 5, Volvo V90 (cross country?) or Jag XF sportbrake.

That's great news.
Regarding the car, I think you will need to do a shakedown cruise around the regulars of the pub...

If the bloke can dig a bit deeper, there's a pumped up rufty tufty four wheel drive E class estate coming out in 2017. I know another bloke who is going to seriously covet one when it does...
