My son sings. Writes too. But he's been rehearsing this tonight, this being the original. I love it. Maybe you will too.
No worries if you don't.

Have to admit, we sing here, quite a lot....
Occasionally we do it quite well...

...this is what is currently "floating my boat"...
...apparently one of the (blues/jazz/gopel/why) best live-acts on the circuit at the moment, and I shall endeavour to get to see them next time in the UK.

Gorgeous ! On my playlist as of now.
You might like this. They look a bit odd but boy can they play and sing...

...I've seen Derek Trucks play live, backing Eric Clapton....
...who, incidentally is probably only fourth in my guitarist ratings from this session:
(It is to my eternal regret that I've never seen JJ Cale live, and now never will)

For you education and edification I bring you - Incognito. A British acid jazz band that have been around in various guises* for 36 years, never really had the international acclaim they deserve, but non the less have attracted guest lead singers like Chaca Khan, Mario Biondi, and always at their best when Jocelyn Brown returns from time to time to front the vocals. *Had at least 30 changes of members over the years, including names like Paul Weller.
Here is one gig I would loved to have gone to,
(mind to be fair, they could be just a tad tighter in that performance)

This whole album is utter genius, and totally unsung and unheralded for some reason. One of my all time favourites. Especially tracks 7, 6 and 4. And 3. Chap was/is the lead singer of The Bluetones, but I reckon this solo material is far better.
Like everything though it sounds shocking on these poxy cheapo laptop speakers.

..I am a boring Grumpy Old Fart, but I do have a number of Verve/Richard Ashcroft albums...... The Drugs Don't Work. I hate hearing that unexpectedly as it makes me choke and cry if I'm not ready for it. Actually it makes me blub whatever the circs. Just one of those tunes.
