Well, I finally got around to retiring yesterday. Still wide awake at 06.00 today!
Old habits etc.
Blimey, think I’ll have a mug of tea and take it back to bed. No need to rush into the first day of the rest of my life I suppose!
Guess I’ll have to start pricing elastic waisted trousers and Velcro fastening trainers and so on eh?

You haven't really given up work, just changed bosses, you live with yours now. Haha.
Have you been presented with your jobs sheets yet ?
All that out of the way, time to catch up with your nearest and dearest. I realised this at the weekend, first time just the two of us have done something for ourselves in nearly two decades.
Edit: P.S. don't need velcro on trainers, they have these self fitting ones that really do just slip on, as advertised on TV by retired footballers with knackered knee and ankle joints.

Congratulations, Humph. We know you well enough to know that you know (that’s a lot of knowing) the value of staying active, physically and mentally. Spending less time behind the wheel should make that easier in your case.

Hopefully there's a lot more enjoyment to be had before fireside seats with blankets and brochures call.
You've got all those garden centre cream teas to sample if you can get a seat/table with all those pensioners. Oh! Sorry, forgot the audience. 🤪

Actually, I may well explore the hitherto mysterious to me world of wearing Crocs. All manner of changes may occur resultantly, concurrently or just randomly in due course.
Tattoos even. I quite fancy an owl on my left breast for example.

That of course is the other thing I shall undoubtedly lose track of. Fortunately, my plastic digital watch (which will now be my daily beater) will keep me right for as long as I retain the ability to read it.
