I suspect the cost of replacing and painting a new front assembly will be scrotum crushingly expensive. You do know you're supposed to tap your card on the machine, don't you? ...18 year old Punto ... Going in for its 15th MoT on Monday... Did it miss one somewhere? |

It's a South Korean SUV thing, pointy bits of plastic with brittle paint. The Soul has a few chips in the paint not caused by hitting things but things hitting it e.g. small stones. Kind of gravel rash.
Alloys used to be like kerb magnets for my wife, not with this car though, so I won't mention it and everything will carry on as is.

Oh yes - well, half-yes, now I look it up - a six month moratorium from March 2020. Didn't affect me as my anniversary is in October, but presumably the tests still had to be done, just six months later than usual.

First MoT was in September 2007 - so you're right. 16th MoT. I did not miss one due to Covid.
