You could just fill in the time until it arrives by going outside and repeatedly kicking the Punto I suppose? 😉

I could but I have been very green today and taken the tram to the office. I had an appointment in Sale early on, so it was easier to leave the Punto at the local tram station, go to Sale and then back to the office. Espadrillette can collect it after school (a five minute walk from the station) and bring it home. Ah the benefits of a driving child! I will get a lift to the garage.

…so you’ll have a good use for those fully-reclining seats?

Notes on collection.
I sat in the dealership for a fair while dealing with lots of paperwork and downloading the app to connect my phone to the car. The dealer principal came over afterwards and I thought he was going to try to sell me some extra insurance but no all he wanted was all he wanted was to check that I was happy given that I had waited for 9 months for the car.
We had a photograph of the handover and then the salesman spent some time with me setting things up. Luckily he has been driving an Ioniq 5 for a few months so he knew what to do, although the basic are fairly intuitive.
I drove home using Braking Level 3, one below one pedal driving, which I thought worked very well. So far, very smooth and it does not have the supposedly crashy ride which several reviews have mentioned. Two tyres were 3psi over inflated. First real trip will be on Thursday to Wrexham so more comments to follow.
Slight query that the charging port door only opens using the key whereas it should open just by pressing it. I will get that checked out,...

Sorted out the charging port door. Needed to press harder!
The front boot is very deep on the RWD cars, so deep it will clearly hold as much as a large carry on case. Son #1 very impressed by the on board mapping for the SatNav. Very clear.

Be sure to set the charge cable lock to always on, stops any joker from removing your cable once you've plugged in.
I know KIA only locks the cable when charging by default, you have to tell it to keep the cable locked until you unlock the car.

Wouldn’t have thought of that; not a setting the i3 even has. I wonder when you’d want the cable attached but not locked.

Only thing that springs to mind are fleet managers or distribution centres that can move charging cable from vehicle to vehicle without having to hunt for keys where RFID cards are not used to trigger charging.
Somewhere in the world will be the reason for it.

That makes sense, I suppose. I’d still make the default to lock the cable to the car when the car is locked.
Oh, and it’s 73 kWh! (Rather more kW, I’d hope.) We’re going to be looking at this thread title for some time, so can we please admin that in? Could fix the ‘beserk’ one too, while we’re at it. 🤓
