Ah yes wallets. Now that’s is a whole other problem. I find that wallets, well, my wallet anyway, is never quite where I know I left it.

I have a strict self-imposed system for that. Same place, every time I return home, without fail first thing I do (joint with returning keys to box). Becoming less of an issue now that I often go out without, and use Google pay on my phone.

Ah yes I do that, but, mine moves, on its own, usually at night. Sometimes, it even goes outside and puts itself in the car. On other occasions, it hides under a piece of paper in my office, and periodically, it goes and puts itself in a jacket pocket.
I’ve told the little sod a hundred times to stop messing me about but it keeps on doing it.

My wife has a "system" for her purse, it's always in her handbag. The issue is she has difficulty locating her handbag.
Her favourite is, "my handbag is downstairs in the cellar".
We have six rooms in the cellar, if you think I'm searching six rooms for your handbag..😤..think again.

Yey! In Larnaca....
Checking in for Rome.
Had a message to say that the car park we dropped our car at is open for collections. But I think I'll leave it to the insurance to deal with.
The flight we were meant to be on coming home was cancelled so the car park operators should know that we will not be coming by to collect the car at the expected time.

Just heard that from a colleague.
So many other countries have already sent planes including Germany, Austria, Canada etc... just reminds me of lockdown when Britain was woeful in repatriation compared to others.
A Lufthansa jumbo landed as we were taking off. I bet Britain sends a Hercules!

I think, if I was feeling ok to drive, that I’d let the taxi drop the London contingent off, then get it to take you to Luton and collect the car.
Thus avoiding the potentially hairy arsed delivery driver caning it up to Manchester while chain smoking cheroots!

Great to hear that about the worst thing that can now happen, is a bit of travel delay and with luck, not even that.

Espadrille not keen on that and no guarantee where the car will be.
Also we are just leaving Cyprus and not sure we will make the Gatwick flight from Rome.

Yes indeed, after the last few days they’ve had, a nice hotel, and an even nicer restaurant in Rome followed by a civilised flight time back in the morning sounds very appealing.
