Flip flops would be OK, just not trainers, unless you're going to be training.

Well, £29.99 might just about get you something that would be adequate I suppose. Might want to stretch yourself a wee bit more if you wanted something that was actually good. Your call of course. 😉

Aye, but you get two for that. You don't just get the flip, you get the flop as well. 😉

>> Others will stay on furlough until made redundant.. Be careful there. You can't use the furlough scheme to pay wages during a notice period. You would have to repay that. Check the small print which apparently has changed recently. At the end of the day it's a job retention scheme. We have taken legal advice on this point. As it happens we may end up making less people redundant than we first anticipated as work has picked up better than we thought in various areas. But we have realised that in some parts we were simply overstaffed and we have been doing (Espadrille has been doing) as much work as we did before with increased technology and fewer people.

I hate flip flops. The 'thong' always rubs between my toes. Much prefer sliders. In fact I prefer human skin, my own, attached to my flesh, if I can't wear shoes. I love driving bare footed. Squeezing the accelerator pedal with my big toe in a little rorty buzz box...

That is already a trend in the market. Trade in women's clothes and shoes has held up astonishingly well, but men's has more or less collapsed for now. Funny you should mention that. We've come away, similar thinking to WDB, staying this side of the channel in the Eifel region for a week. Change of scenery after being pretty much in the house since 3rd March save for grocery shopping. 'The girls' went shopping Friday and Saturday for outfits, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The boy and myself made do with, new, two pairs of shorts for me and a pair of shorts and a new T-shirt for him. One 23kgs bag for their room, a couple of rucksacks for us including toiletries and electronics to keep us entertained after lights out.

Only in the sense that crickets vibrate too.
