I took our dog for a long walk yesterday morning. My son and his girlfriend ( who are currently living with us ) took him again yesterday afternoon, and my wife, who is still required to be at work during the day, took him last evening. He doesn't seem to mind, and if this pattern continues he will be the fittest dog this side of the proverbial butchers. 😉

Polo has had at least three each day. when I see him on video in the evening, he is always lying there looking completely knackered..

Are you starting and ending at home? That’s become the police advice, but to judge from the number of cars in lay-bys and passing places this morning, it’s not advice every dog owner is taking.
Other thoughts: MrsB1 suggested this afternoon that if the world decides it can do without business travel (or indeed offices) and I’m marooned permanently at home, I might be allowed a dog as compensation. One like the little terrier called Lulu, who we met in the woods (within walking distance of houses) would do nicely.

Our two year old is getting into the swing of these multiple walks/day. Quite ballsy even, he'll come up and give you a tap with his nose when it's your turn to take him out. Luckily we live out in the middle of nowhere about 50 metres from the nearest fields for him to go charging off through trying to catch crows, or whatever may be around at the time. He never gets within about 20 metres of anything but it doesn't stop him trying.

Have a rummage in the rescue homes when the time comes, there are a lot of god dogs in those. I've a feeling they may be dealing with an increase in residents if the economy goes south. I remember the streets of Belgrade being over-run with abandoned dogs years ago, it was tragic. I haven't been for a few years, but I know you have WDB - is there much evidence of stray dogs these days? There used to be a pack of them who lived behind the row of kiosks in my M-i-L's street, they were all very friendly.

God dogs? Cross terriers mostly I expect?
Not sure I'm keen on them getting involved in any Christening ceremonies...

I’ve no recollection of seeing stray dogs in Belgrade. Santiago, on the other hand, has loads — or did when I last went in 2014.

Just dropped my dog off to be clipped, he had started to look like a sheep. The guy who grooms him was sporting a very neat haircut, and of course I had to ask, and yes, he'd done his own hair with his dog grooming clippers.
I mean, d'you think I should, maybe, ask if...I mean, well, y'know, might be worth a try...
