Is there a difference between the Hof's squeeze and bitch? Could be taken for the same species in certain parts of the world.

Presuming you mean ‘didn’t’, neither do I. Went to the airport in a new E220 the other day. Short of headroom because of silly glass roof; back seat set low in an attempt to compensate but just left me perched on my botty-bones with my knees in the air. W212 E that brought me home yesterday was nicer all round. I think it's probably more that The Hof ( at that time anyway ) had a girth issue in the "Daimler" and that the sunroof in the airport car wasn't silly at all but was just an impediment to those with specific abnormalities. 😉 I dont see why they have to bolster the driver in so tightly, its really not needed in a hearse at funeral speeds.

The driver's seat in my car has electrically adjustable side bolsters. Kinda cool if you want to feel like you're in a Recaro but you can open them right up if girth requires.

Restricted space in the front passenger compartment, and driver compartment and entrance come to that, was always the thing which put me off the V70/XC70. I'm surprised someone like WDB managed with an S60 for so long, given how much less tall I am (5'9" at my latest official measuring in the Doc's - I've lost an inch over the years :-(). When I had my sister's XC70 in Australia, I kept banging/brushing my head on the door frame when getting in and out of it.

Mine are auto, the bolsters engage to hug you when you select sports mode (you can set the amount of hug of course) You dont have a sports mode do you. Waist * of time with only 4 up front *see what I did there?

I was OK in my XC70 loads of room once in, but I get what you mean about the weird door geometry, I banged some part of my head more than once.
