Anybody got any experience of owning/driving one of these?
I gather that the looks are polarising (looks good to me!) and on paper it’s becoming the number 1 contender to replace my Audi A1 later this year...

Espadrille looked at one but getting into the back seats was even more awkward than a Juke. No good good for our family.
Mechanically meant to be pretty good, especially with the hybrid drivetrain.

Haven’t been inside one — looking at the outside I’m not sure I could. But I’ve gone right off Toyota since they started using the absurd phrase ‘self-charging hybrid’.

Dreadful looking, contrived thing, appears to have been deliberately designed to look like something out of a 2000AD comic. I bet it's almost impossible to see out of the back or sides.
It's a no from me. Proper hatchback please.

I like them. Can't say why, but I just like the way they break the mould I suppose. Too small for me though.

I don't mind moulds being broken, so long as they're put back together in such a way that you still recognise them as a mould, rather than a bag of dropped kitchen implements, which is what the C-HR resembles. An attempt at a "funky" shape, for no perceptible purpose, all that's achieved is a compromised ownership/driving experience, see Nissan Juke for the defining example.

I don't actually know anyone with a Nissan Juke. But, I suspect if I did, I might feel a bit awkward in their company. You can find something nice to say about most people's cars if you try, but a Juke would be a difficult thing to be charitable about.
My wife sort of liked them at first, and to be fair, I wasn't totally against the notion of her having one when they were new. But, as the years have passed, they have become increasingly annoying for some reason.
Given that, for most people anyway, a car is a not insignificant purchase or cost, I wonder where the point is when you'd think, "I know, I'll put my life savings, or a considerable sum each month into having one of those"
Might as well get an unfortunate tattoo on your forehead.

You anti Jukesters are being a little unfair, I had one for 7 days in Spain, and it was an enjoyable sojourn together. Mind it helped that part of our togetherness was a drive over the Sierra Nevada to Granada. As for the C-HR, no I cant get past its looks and the sheer stupidity of making a car with such poor driver vision.

I had a Suzuki Vitara convertible while on holiday a couple of times, and thoroughly enjoyed using it as a holiday toy. Wouldn't want one here.

I had a Juke for a day as a courtesy vehicle whilst you were away from this place, HM. I felt car sick in it. I have never experienced such a shocking blend of both wallowy and hard ride. Incredible achievement on their part.

I understand that people who have them, become remarkably attached to their Jimneys, there is something quite appealing about a cheap rugged capable go anywhere vehicle, would be good for getting your bikes to obscure out of the way places.

If I was going down that road ( and I just might one day ) I'd have a Duster 4x4. I sort of get the utility thing.

Beats having to get off it and go through bungalow land though, I have trouble staying awake.
