Had a session in an A320 Simulator this morning. About 90 minutes long and bought for me as a present from Espadrille and the children. Very impressed. The guys that own/run it are former pilots and it is very realistic. Having sat in an Airbus cockpit I had an idea of what it should look like and it was identical, all the switches worked and the view out was about 80% of reality. Gave me a good insight into the workload of a modern airline pilot in a crowded airspace and the skills they require if the automatics break down. Great fun and I would do it again. Simulator AdventuresNo connection other than I was there as chosen by the family. Luckily close to home.

Sounds like fun. Learning to fly was on my bucket list for many years. Won't happen now, but a shot of a simulator does sound good.

You can make your own A320 simulator by sitting on a dining chair with your knees pressed into the wall. For added realism, live in a semi and ask your neighbour to tilt the wall towards you.
