Quite tall though aren't they? Ever so slightly in danger of being mistaken for an SUV. In a certain light, or no light maybe. 😉 But, I could see that being a good shout. It would of course be aesthetically improved by sticking some bike racks on top. Not necessarily in order to carry bikes, but more to subliminally announce that there wasn't a mobility scooter in the boot. Good little cars by all accounts.

The sort of car ignored when new but suddenly in demand once production ceases. Quite a few like that including the Yaris Verso, Honda Civic Shuttle, Audi A2....

Great exterior; rather standard Hyundai interior...

Also available in other colours. Usually BRS or black.
Lowish insurance grouping on the 1.6, which in performance terms couldn't pull the skin of off a rice pudding. I expect a vehicle such as this would meet stern marital resistance. It LOOKS fast. It's not, but the boss would see it once, immediately conclude it's not appropriate, and never be persuaded by the actual facts of the matter.

She wouldn't like the colour either.

She wouldn't like the colour either. The light blue Merc was a management purchase.

Talking about the Captur; I noticed that when the car was returned to us from the member of staff who drove it for a few years, that the coolant level was very low. I topped it up with some Renault compliant liquid and monitored it. I reckon it has used between 1.5 - 2.0 litres of coolant in the last year. So not a lot but too much to forget it. At the service in May the garage did a pressure test but could find no problem, but I wasn't convinced so this week I told them to have a closer look. Despite calling me hypochondriach they humoured me and ... lo and behold! there is a small leak by the thermostat housing on the block. New housing and seal (seal sold separately??) is about £120 plus fitting and new coolant.
I can now send my son on his merry way without worrying about the head gasket failing or the engine seizing. As you were....
