Just looking out of my home office window at the cars outside our house, and it occurs to me that we have an unreasonable amount of bike racks.
My car only has one on it at the moment, because the rest of the roof space is currently taken up with a humongous roof box, which I temporarily needed last week, but it normally has at least three racks on it ( one each for mine and hers, and one for a spare bike, or for "his" if he comes with us )
Her car has two racks on it for when she goes mountain biking with her pal, and his has two on it, for when he goes ( as he did when home from Uni this weekend ) with his mates.
Sometimes seems excessive really, but they all get used regularly.
Anyway, a cunning plan is emerging, my son took a friend up a hill at the weekend and loaned him a bike suitable for the job, the friend loved the experience and now wants his first decent bike...this sounds like a bit of an opportunity for some man maths don't you think?
