I'd have paid good money if we could have lined up Boris, Gove, Rees-Mogg, David Davis, etc. and used the water cannons on them for fun. Maybe turn Brexit into an obstacle course with water cannons. Winner decides how we leave.

Sorry to be Mr Poface but the reason they’re illegal is that they can injure and even blind people. Theresa May got that judgment right at least.
Johnson probably looked at the whole thing as some kind of big It’s A Knockout joke. Tells you a lot about the man’s fitness for public office.

Not to mention slamming people into objects, obstacles each other and the ground.
A ridiculous thing to have on the streets of London.

During the UK summer riots a few years ago it was only the rain that stopped them continuing for more than five days.

I don't know which water cannons are involved in this story. However, I have witnessed water cannons being used in Venezuela and Chile. They are brutal.
It is just not something a country should have to control it's citizens. And I am quite sure if they were allowed on the streets they would be used eventually. I'd rather Boris Johnson didn't have the remote control for a TV, never mind the control of a water cannon. . And I'm not sure I'd trust any of the rest of those clowns with it either.

I'm surprised these are that powerful if they are legal in some countries. They sound pretty dangerous.
Still I think if Boris thought they were okay he should have volunteered to stand in front of one.

"If Boris thought...." A big If. I find it extraordinary that someone who is apparently highly intelligent (although he went to a down-market university) invariably gets his mouth in gear before his brain.
