I don't think this is what Otto would class as "visiting" Did the dog make you stop there?

It's still Spring-like in NZ, do pack a raincoat and warm jacket. Snow forecast for the mountains tomorrow! Things usually start to become more settled in November though.
I'll shout you a glass of Hot Water Brewery's finest ale if you come trundling through the Coromandel!

...many layers are packed (I expect to melt or dissolve in Singapore).
We breezed past the bottom of the Coromandel last time, but it's very much in the plans this time as we head South (weather etc. permitting).
We headed South from Auckland last time, so North and the Bay of Islands is the first target.

Really enjoying NZ again. In honour of my travelling status, some Maoris we met gave me an honorary name "Te rere o te hau", or "passing wind", I'm reliably informed.... .....which is nice........... I think!!?

Dangnabbit. I've been away in Dunedin this week!
More Spring snow on the cards next week Tyred. Does the campervan have an electric blanket?!

We'll be fine anyway if the gas doesn't run out. Dunedin might be the lowest point of our tour this time, but who knows?

Dunedin is a pleasant enough town, but a long old way to go unless you have ample time.
My top tip is Golden Bay (top left hand corner of the South Island). It's a different world once you go over Takaka Hill!

It's a different world once you go over Takaka Hill! Still got 3 weeks left. We shall get up to Abel Tasman (if it doesn't get washed away like it nearly did in February) then a bimble South as far as we want before turning round and heading home from Christchurch. Sitting here at the moment (nearly 21:30) with door and windows open to keep cool! (Though you're right, the forward weather forecast doesn't look great :-( )

Ha! It ain’t much warmer here in Wellington today!
Head to the Mussel Inn and get warm by the fire with a few bottles!
Also, make sure that you head up to the spit, but turn left just before the end of the road and go out to Wharariki Beach - the unsealed road is only 2km long or so. A stunning beach. And the seals should be in at low tide.
