The only previous time I've used it was to T2, where the escalator ride from the platform to Departures took at least as long as the train ride from Paddington. This time, I get to T2 and find I have to wait 25 minutes for a 'free' train to T4.
All this for £22 off peak, and the pleasure of being blasted with news and adverts I bet they don't have to tolerate in first class. It'll be the Connect for me next time, even if it is the company's money.

And when the T4 train eventually strolls in, what is it? A flippin' Heathrow Connect, that's what.
I know, I should have looked it up. But 'Express' means it's quicker, right?

I didn't know there was such a thing as a Heathrow Connect. I presume it's a train? What's the difference between that and an Express?
It's not that I don't travel for work, it's just that I usually go to Basingstoke when I do.

A train? There are "people" on trains aren't there? Bad enough having to be near the ones on aeroplanes, but the train ones, well, they quite often smell if I remember correctly? 😒

I used it a few weeks ago. For the huge charges, you would think they would be more frequent than every 30 minutes. I arrived at Paddington at 9:01 and having found the platford, had to wait until 9:30 for the train to leave. Come On!! At CDG, there are RER trains into central Paris every few minutes and its cheaper. Typical Rip Off Britain.

For the huge charges, you would think they would be more frequent than every 30 minutes. There are four H.Express trains an hour. Also four H.Connects. The Connect takes 31 minutes to T2, the Express 15; but then the Connect gets you to T4 four minutes later. A final annoyance: the signs tell you the onward train to T4 is ‘free’. So you can put your Express ticket away among your receipts, right? Wrong: there’s a ticket barrier, so you have to rummage in your bag for a white ticket that looks just like every other receipt in your collection.
