If you like the three of them and their banter and silly antics, and you;'re happy to see the back of pretend-dying celebrities and that idiot yank, then watch it. Parts of it were laugh out loud funny.
Really worth the effort.
If you don't like the format or the stars, then let's just assume that you won't like the program.
But, I recommend seeking it out. If the rest of the season is to the same standard as this first episode, then I shan't be missing a moment.

They're not still doing that dead-guest joke, are they? Moronic and cringeworthy; takes the shine off the whole show.

Looks like they have dropped that and the stupid Amurican red neck. Hope so. Stig was much better not speaking. As Oscar Wilde said...Better to remain silent so that people may think your are stupid, than speak and remove all doubt...

The American has gone, so has that track. The stars getting killed has also gone.
The banter is there, big time. I like the new track and "competition".
Hasselhof was a great guest and I loved the line "I'm an actor, I'm not really a good driver but I look great doing it" or something like that.
I cannot imagine the show will convince those who either don't like or don't want to like the show.
But we enjoyed it. And laughed out loud.

I never really got into the first series, I watched a couple, missed a few then it got away from me and I didn't bother catching up.
My wife was more into it than me, for some reason it just didn't grab me or spark any interest.
I'll give series two a go. It's a car show, I like cars and I need some switch off brain and entertain the eyes time. If it makes me laugh along the way even better.

Just watched the new show, some funny bits, amazing scenery. Looks like they'll be testing the new KIA Stinger GT at some point, looking forward to seeing that.

Just watched it. Fairly entertaining and I will watch further episodes.
The Richard Hammond crash was curious. Looked like the car simply didn't want to stop once he crossed the finish line. However even watching on my tablet, the sense of silence when accelerating in the electric car was extraordinary.

This series has been pretty patchy too. I may be the only one who finds Conversation Street amusing, but the 'unscripted' Croatia trip was a low.
But then the Jaguar road trip in the most recent episode had scenery, camaraderie, enthusiasm and wit: the things this lot do best. The conclusion on the ski slopes may have been as genuine as Richard Hammond's hair but no matter; it's entertainment and this one entertained.

Seconded. Last week's effort with the Subaru going round the farm was terrible, lower than the Croatia effort IMHO. But the Jags were a return to form. How massive were those Mk10s back in the day? They still look like big cars even now, they must have been absolute ocean liners in the 60s. I do recall them from my 70s childhood, but there weren't many about I don't seem to recall.

Wikipedia gives the Mk10 a length of 5131mm and a kerb weight of 1.9 tonnes, so it's both longer and heavier than my CLS. Longer wheelbase too. Big by any standards.
Incidentally, in the episode of The Crown that features a speech at a (the?) Jaguar factory, we hear William Lyons introducing Philip to 'the new Em Kay One'.

They were enormous in the 60s and were comprehensively replaced when the first XJ6 came in at the end of the 60s with better ride, performance, looks etc By the late 70s / early 80s a lot of them were being banger'ed or stripped for parts, especially the 4.2 engine, they rusted like anything else from the 60s especially once they were 3rd or 4th hand .

... I wouldn't call it "Royal propaganda" by a long way. Nor would I. It's rather well done - and it's always fun to guess which Famous British Actor will turn up next. Latest is Anton Lesser as Macmillan - a role in which only the costume and the moustache distinguish him from his Thomas More in Wolf Hall.

Rust was probably less of a problem in the western US. And do we really suppose that a quick tour of a dusty circuit caused that one to disintegrate - at least without the artful de-spannering of a few bolts?
