Not all that common here on the Cheshire plain... ...or so you like to tell yourselves. 🤔

I'd guess 2m wide X 5m long a 540i with xDrive maybe?
7 degrees here this morning, haven't had so much as a frost yet. AWD hatchback and no winter 🙄...yet!

I'd guess 2m wide X 5m long a 540i with xDrive maybe? The footprint of the car body is scarcely relevant, though, is it? All that matters is the number of square centimetres of tyre in contact with grippable ground. Sven in talking bollocks shock? Surely not! 😛

A Mk1 Escort was a fine fine car to learn your snow skills in. Had the pleasure of many hours in one at the Phil Price rally school. As it happens, I have the dog show final tomorrow in the midlands. Heading up for an overnight stop this afternoon. If possible I may get the chance to see what 10 square metres (£5.5k, 35hp, 176kilos a square metre) goes like in a snow covered car park. Nyahh, pussy stuff in a 4 wheel drive... 😜

Dry, cold and very bright in Bury, Lancashire. View from the back office window.

Kind of cool UFO to the left of the steeple !
Edit - though if they've landed in Bury, they're probably not going to stay are they? 😉

Oh yes! There's even a grid of lights in the sky around (or above) the mothership. Some sort of escort fleet, I imagine. Can't be too careful in those parts.

It is Bury.... Home of the environmentalists.. Back window rarely cleaned - home to a lovely fly eating spider making webs all over the sash.

"Some sort of escort fleet, I imagine."
No, only Humph, bored with handbrake turns in the snow, now pirouetting in the sky with his Mark 1.

Reminds me of those Vauxhall ads in the 1990s, when Nigel Hawthorne and Tom Conti must both have needed the money.

..interesting place, Bury. I've always wanted to live in Upper Ramsbottom ........just in case anyone asked where I lived......... Penis tone to the north of Sheffield always raised a titter. When we were looking for a house here my wife vetoed Titz. I was looking for a street with house number 36D.
