I love it, but I'd rather own one in original spec myself. Maybe with modernised brakes and drivetrain, the latter out of a Tesla Model S perhaps....

Just spotted the original reg number of that Bentley, and it's far, far classier than the pathetic NI plates it is currently showing. Especially given the football club which chose me as a supporter.

I do sort of get it ( a bit ) if someone buys a reg plate with their initials on it or something, but when it's clearly just an attempt to disguise vehicle age it's just naff in my humble.
I used to have one that my wife bought for me one Christmas. I had to put it on my cars for a few years until enough time had elapsed to sell it without causing domestic offence. M16 SHU ( Footwear Agent ) allegedly...
Yeah, I know, I'm not proud of it but I'm much better now.

I'm certain I've mentioned it here, or there, or elsewhere, sometimes before, but one of my all time favourites was on an XJS owned by an Edinburgh publican. 50 BER

My daughter is a real petrol head and speed freak. I've got ZO33 on my bike ready to swap over when she gets her first car.

Just to confuse the Germans we used the diaeresis. That really stumps some of them.

I used to work for company based in Stuttgart, well, Kornwestheim to be accurate. Stumping Germans was indeed an indulgence that was periodically hard to resist.

130LOX was a regular sight around Nottingham in my early days back there. On a Rolls, or possibly a Bentley. (I believe it has now been withdrawn).

...... the diaeresis..... ....It's all that Bauernschmaus and Sauerkraut; not good for a digestive system unaccustomed to it......
