Driving down through Deutschland, I've been amazed by the number of UK cars being transported back to Romania (at least that's the consistent message from the transporter registrations).
Most are middle-aged with a little cosmetic damage (much like me, really), and range from the semi-exotic to the very ordinary.
I get some of it - the UK's cheap used market, the low repair costs in their destination, etc., but RHD must be a bit of a negative, surely.

I've lived with an LHD in England. It is really, really tiresome.

I guess so, but I lived and worked in Italy for a year and used my trusty RHD Cortina while I was there. Just kind of got used to it really. Motorway toll booths were a bit of a drag I suppose.

It's a bit different using an already-owned vehicle 'wrong-handed' to buying one on the s/h market, though. I wonder what the home market s/h pricing level is?
I know numerous people who have bought LHD motorhomes on the continent as they are significantly cheaper, and they do most of their mileage abroad. I can't say I find it a great issue, though most of my motorhome motorcaravan campervan mileage is, in fact, abroad.

Yes. And car park barriers/ticket machines. Trying to lane change, trying to overtake, drive-thru's, attended petrol stations, car wash entrances, security guard / car park attendants on car parks, especially when visiting companies, and on and on and on.
Tiresome. Not insurmountable or impossible, but really really tiresome.

According to my friend who works for Bentley, quite a lot of the new car orders from countries where they drive on the right ( especially China ) are, strangely enough, for RHD cars. Evidently they are seen as more exotic and exclusive. Funny old world eh?
I heard of a guy who sold his fairly tired Mondeo to a Polish chap. Told him it was still cheaper to come here, buy a Brit car, drive it back and have it converted to LHD than buy an equivalent one at home. Maybe that was true. Wouldn't know.
