Rattle like something loose, like a bit of a dash moving against another bit, or what?
Bit more info needed I feel....

He lives in Israel right? If it hisses as well as rattles, it might be a worry.

Ha! He does, but this is the Mancunian Sirion rather than the Israeli Sirion (do keep up!). Driving along a road that is not billiard table smooth, there is a low pitch 'knocking' somewhere behind and below the steering column. The column is absolutely firm. No feeling of rattling by my feet or through the accelerator. I'm sure it is not a major issue, but I would like to get it sorted.

Can you feel it through the steering wheel?

Sounds like something your wife would say.

Sounds like something your wife would say. Your wife talks to you? Not sure I'd know what to do in that scenario.

Don't know but makes some sense. For the price of the parts maybe worthwhile changing them...

Doh....
My father was last in the UK on 26th September. On the evening of the 25th we were at a family celebration to which he drove the Sirion using the main key with a separate (OEM) remote fob on the keyring. At 10am the next morning I drove him in my car the airport.
Subsequently, I can only find the spare key with no remote. I have checked his house thoroughly, checked his flat in Israel top to bottom, checked his jackets pockets; no joy.
So two questions: - 1. Where can I get spare key - Is Timpsons still the best place? 2. Any chance of getting another remote considering that Daihatsu are no longer sold in the UK. The alternative I suppose is to install an aftermarket remote system...
Ideas anyone?

So where did the key go missing, at the party, at your house, or what? It has to be somewhere, working out the possibilities of where might be the tricky bit of course. It's just waiting to be found you know.

You can try Timpsons but from reading on various car forums it seems to vary from branch to branch. Worth a try.

It's just waiting to be found you know. I have this suspicious feeling that the key was thrown out with the rubbish in a bout of tidying up prior to leaving. Can't be at my house only his, or he took it with him without realising .
