Thanks Rob. Mostly your impression of the car (bearing in mind BPG's reservations about its presentation); perhaps how long they've had it, to get a feeling for how far they might bend on price - or move it to Birmingham for me to view (I could do Friday.) The mileage is pretty low, so I'm imagining that the first owner was probably retired and used the boot for garden waste and maybe a dog. No problem with that - it's what estates are for - provided it hasn't left a lingering smell or excessive scuffs and scratches, but MB estates are usually pretty resistant to those. Old tobacco smoke would put me off too.
Make sure you get a cup of coffee out of them. Mercedes dealers do good coffee!

Just like my car. Old man died leaving a four year old 20,000 mile example that had been to the golf course regularly but that's about it. Had a nice thick plastic lover in the boot to keep the carpet clean and stop sand getting into the nooks and crannies.
I'm not near Stockport in the next few days, but if that changes.....

A very important feature of a car has struck me over these last couple of days, that is somewhere to conveniently stash your man bag

*Eagerly awaits first tale of "oh *Naughty word* I've left my man bag on the train/bus/taxi/plane/tuk tuk/donkey"*
The string net in the passenger footwell of my E would be the place, should I decide to start turning out for the other team.
(EDIT: YESSS! I've found something the swear filter disapproves of! )

That's a very feminine looking body....... Indeed! I thought of suggesting the following for "parking" his manbag, but given the cars NB is looking at, and the traditional correlation between them and appendages, I thought he wouldn't need it....... ;-) (note to self: enough is enough)

The string net in the passenger footwell of my E would be the place, The Leon is not bad, the door pocket is ideal, but the strap can get shut in the door. Other team? Fulham Reserves you mean?

With events of the last 24 hours it must be big, swanky cars all around if you own property in the South East. I read some old bird has just paid £1bn for a maximum five year lease for a single residence in Downing Street.
